Let the countdown begin!
It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for… the beginnings of our 2010 Tour have been posted to the Schedule page!!! The signed papers have started to roll in, and I’m sure more will be on their way as we get closer to the season. The Schedule page is pretty easy to navigate with the basic date/time/location setup, as well as a link to the track location. To see where the track is, just click on the globe icon and look for the green arrow. Green means go. Arrow means here. I’m sure you can handle it!
Don’t forget tomorrow and Saturday is the Spring Shootout at the Iowa State Fairgrounds (see post below). I will be at the MAPA scale all day, both days, so hopefully I’ll see you there!!
Get involved!
Our new webpage is a little more interactive than the old one. You have the ability to leave comments (be nice, now!) under any of the posts on the main page. To do so, just click on the post title, and it will take you to where you can post a comment and see what others may have said.
As you can see, we’ve continued working in the last few weeks. A VERY big thank you to Scott Sheeder for helping me get everything up and running. The results & standings for 2009 have been updated, as well as the classifieds and links. The pictures page is still under a little bit of construction, but the pictures from Linden in 2009, which never appeared on the old site, are now posted. If anyone has anything else they would like to see or just plain likes what they see, please leave a comment or email the webmaster!
Speaking of the classified section, please put it to good use! Did you find a few spare tractor parts over the winter that need a good home? Need some funds for an overhaul? Already do an overhaul that resulted in bits and pieces that you no longer need? Email your ad and pictures to the webmaster for review and posting!
6th Annual Spring Shootout
The 6th Annual Spring Shootout will be held on Friday, March 26th and Saturday, March 27th at the Cattle Pavillion at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Pulling starts at 2pm on Friday and 10am on Saturday. Please visit the Prairie Pullers website at www.prairiepullers.com for more information.
2010 Board Members Announced
There have been some changes to the MAPA Board of Directors for the 2010 season. The elected board members, as voted on at the banquet, are Amanda Sheeder, Bill Robson, and Chub Myers.
We also had a change in permanent board members. Keith Robson resigned his position on the board and was replaced by Jim Clewell. We would like to thank Keith for his time and input as a board member, and we welcome Jim back to the board!
Welcome to the NEW Webpage!
As you may have noticed, our MAPA page is looking a little different these days! It is still under heavy construction, but hopefully we will have all pages back up and running soon.
The official rules for the 2010 season are posted under the link, and there will be much more information posted here in the near future about changes in the board, upcoming events, and letting you know when features on the new website have been updated.
The admin@pullmapa.com email address is still the contact if you would like to send anything to the webmaster. Thank you for your patience!
